“The USEPA has announced a blackout period for import and export of hazardous waste and hazardous recyclable materials between October 31, 2021 and January 17, 2022. This will affect operations for both ECCC and Canadian notifiers. To minimise these potential effects, and should you require a permit (new or renewal of an expired one) between now and the end of the first Quarter 2022, ECCC recommends that Canadian notifiers submit complete import and export notices to/from the U.S in the CNMTS prior to October 15, 2021”.
