The MOECC published a Policy Proposal Notice on the Environmental Registry (EBR#012-4164) proposing updated guidance on technical requirements for air dispersion modelling under the Local Air Quality Regulation (O. Regulation 419/05: Air Pollution – Local Air Quality).
The Purpose of the Policy:
“The “Air Dispersion Modelling Guideline for Ontario” (ADMGO) provides guidance on meeting the air dispersion modelling requirements of O. Reg. 419/05. This document should be used in conjunction with other ministry documents such as “Procedure for Preparing an Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling Report”. Highlights of the proposed updates include:
- Changes from earlier regulatory amendments (2009 and 2011)
- Guidance on modelling for annual standards
- Supporting information to be provided when using ASHRAE
- Additional guidance on modelling specific source types (roadways, pits and quarries, etc)”
